OPI Give Me Space Fluid Nail Art

Brief post from me tonight as dinner awaits!

I was low on manicure inspiration the other day so decided on a quick fluid nail art. I used my DIY fluid nail polish to make this design together with a bunch of OPI polishes.

Blir ett kort inlägg idag då middagen väntar. Har njutit av solen under dagen så nu känns hela kroppen så där härligt varm och trött. Blir en kväll i soffan känns det som.

Hade dåligt med inspiration för nagelkonst i veckan så körde en enkel swirl marble med hjälp av det egna effektlack för att skapa bubblor som jag gjorde tidigare i år.

Metallic Floral Nail Art

I believe I've mentioned a few times on the blog a planned upgrade project for our kitchen.

I'm happy to say that the project is now almost done! We got new tiles put in and changed the fan last week and now we're just waiting for the final lights and electricity stuff to get done.

This has meant less time to paint my nails though, I have spent a lot more time on sanding our wooden counter tops... Therefore I'm back down to my last saved manicure from the archive. At least it's a pretty one! I don't stamp as often as I used to but decided on a floral stamped look a few weeks back. I used a design from MoYou Flower Power 07 and two metallic polishes from KIKO combined in gradient stamping.

Jag tror jag har nämnt lite av och till under våren ett litet renoveringsprojekt i vårt kök med byte av kakel och köksfläkt. Det är nu i princip klart! Gick snabbare än väntat när det väl var dags för hantverkarna att dra igång, nu väntar vi bara på lite slutlig el-installation. 

Detta har dock inneburit att jag ägnat mer tid åt att slipa bänkskivan i ek än fila naglarna den senaste veckan. Återigen är jag därmed nere på sista sparade manikyren från arkivet. Men en ganska så snygg manikyr är det i alla fall! Jag stämplar inte alls lika ofta som jag brukade, men fick feeling för det för ett par veckor sedan och valde blommigt från MoYou Flower Power 07 och två metallic lack från KIKO att stämpla med. 

Clean Floral Nail Art Design

I can't believe Blogger has finally updated it's interface for blogging! It has looked the same since I started blogging in 2013 and already then it was a bit dated. So far I'm not loving the label solution but otherwise it works smoothly.

Today I'm up early with plans to do some gardening for our apartment building, I also have to study for the exam in my stats course as well as clean up a bit in the kitchen as someone will come and start preparing to put new tiles in there tomorrow. So excited about that project! We have a dark mosaic with light grout right now making the kitchen feel very busy. Can't wait to get the new large stone tiles up!

These nails were inspired by a floral print I found on Pinterest by Lisa Barlow. The design is painted with acrylic paints on a white base. I love how whimsical this nail art design ended up!

Blev väldigt förvånad när jag upptäckte häromdagen att Blogger äntligen har uppdaterat sitt gränssnitt för bloggande! Det har sett likadant ut sen jag började blogga 2013 så var verkligen på tiden att de moderniserade det hela lite. Gillar inte helt hur label-funktionen är upplagd men annars verkar det fungera smidigt.

Idag är jag uppe med tuppen (typ) och har en fullspäckad agenda. Dels är det städdag i föreningen så ska trimma buskar, dels måste jag plugga för tentan i den statistikkurs jag går och så slutligen så behöver jag städa lite i köket då det kommer en plattsättare hit imorgon. Äntligen ska vår gamla mosaik rivas ut. Det är en mörk mosaik med ljus fog så gör att köket känns väldigt stressigt, ser fram emot att få in de stora stenplattor vi valt.

Dagens naglar är inspirerade av ett tryck jag hittat på Pinterest av Lisa Barlow. Har målat med akrylfärger som vanligt och basen är ett hederligt vitt nagellack. Jag gillar verkligen hur den här manikyren blev, kanske särskilt mycket då jag ibland slarvat och inte ens haft på mig lack de senaste veckorna. Detta påminde mig om varför jag lackar ^-^.

Pink Gellac Felicity Collection Swatches

Today I have swatches of Pink Gellac's spring collection Felicity to show you. The Felicity collection consists of 5 creamy pastels that have been sent to me for swatching. Naturally this does not affect my opinion about the the polishes.

First up is muted sage green 284 Spring Green. I'm wearing two coats. This colour reminds me a lot of an Essie shade, Navigate her, but I never compared them side by side so can't be certain if it's a dupe or if it's just similar.

Next up is 285 Happy Pink, which also covered in two coats. This is a rather cold pink, not exactly very light, but still a bit lighter than average perhaps ^-^.

Then we have 286, Serenity Orange, a hard to describe shade that is not exactly orange, more like peach. It definitely has some pink tones but I wouldn't call it coral (for me it's too muted for that). I'm wearing three coats.

Then we have my favourite of the collection, 287 Joyous Yellow. I'm wearing three coats of this slightly dusty yellow. It leans a bit towards mustard for me and is definitely a very wearable shade!

Finally we have 288 Lily Lilac which as the name suggests is a lilac blue toned purple. This one is also a bit more dusty, just like spring green and covers in two coats.

Tillbaka med fler swatcher på gellack från Pink Gellac. Här är kollektionen Felicity som kom ut tidigare i våras och har fem härliga pastelltoner. Lacken har skickats till mig för att swatchas men det påverkar förstås inte vad jag tycker om dem.

Väljer att inte översätta beskrivningen av respektive lack, blir lite rörigt då bilderna är så långt ovan så hoppar det!

Abstract Pattern Nail Art

Sunday morning and the sun is shining in through an open balcony door.

S just rushed past with his binocular as he heard the tweet of a particularly exciting bird ^-^. I had to leave the balcony as it was too hot to be in the sun. Time for the weekly blog post instead!

This manicure shares some characteristics with last weeks, there's colours, patterns and dots. The 90's inspired look from last week was my own design though, and this is highly inspired by sierrasnails_  on Instagram.

Polishes used: Catrice Milky Bay, China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint, OPI Mermaid's Tears, KIKO 369 and KIKO 275

Söndag förmiddag och solen skiner genom en öppen balkongdörr. S springer förbi med kikaren då det tydligen är en särskilt spännande fågel som kvittrar där ute ^-^. Jag har redan fått gå in från balkongen då det blev för varmt att sitta i solen så passar på att få upp veckans blogginlägg.

Den här manikyren är lite lik förra veckans, färg, form och prickar är det som gäller just nu. Förra veckans var min egna design, den här är inspirerad av sierrasnails_ på Instagram.
