Summery gradient

I have never been a fan of wearing different colours for different seasons. Primarily because I like bright and colourful all year round :). For today's Nail Art Sunday which coincidentally is on December 1st, I have one example of this. A light gradient in blue, green and purple, stamped with a metallic lilac pattern. Does it not whisper of budding spring?

I will assume that as long as my nails are not sporting very explicit references to a season which is not currently happening (such as doing Easter bunnies right now) it doesn't really matter. But out of curiosity I would like to know if you prefer keeping your nails and nail art adjusted to the seasonal influences? Is this one too random and off for holiday shopping?

More nail art can be found over at LeLack!

An interesting effect can be seen in the close up. The stamping polish has shifted colour quite clearly on top of the green base. It is almost golden instead of lilac.

Polishes used: Milani Hi-Tech, Milani Cyberspace, Milani Hi-Res and Essie Nothing Else Metals

  7. Hi there!

I'm leaving feedback as part of the Group Critique that Will Paint Nails for Food has organised :)

I really love how 'tidy' your blog is, it's very pretty. And your photos are beautiful!

The one critique I have is - I can't find an option to follow via Email. Maybe it's not obvious enough; or maybe you chose not to add one. But I know that personally I like subscribing via email, I guess perhaps other readers do, too? :)

    1. Thanks for your feedback and your kind words! I actually don't have a follow via e-mail, will definitely put it on my to-do list to add!

  8. Hi, I came here from Will Paints Nails for Food feedback form. I like your blog, very clean & neat. Your photos are clear & close-up (I really like that). The only feedback that I have is that your watermark gets a little lost on your photos - perhaps make it a different color or make it slightly larger?

    1. Thanks for the feedback! I'm not too satisfied with my watermark honestly, I feel like it lacks that extra something. I will definitely see about changing that soon. Just have to decide if I want a cuticle curve watermark or something that sits a little further out but is bigger and more like a logotype :)

    2. I'm still working on mine, and might be also switching to a cuticle curve watermark. I wish you the best of luck with it! :)

  9. Hi, I came here from Will Paints Nails for Food feedback form. Love your simple blog design and clear pics :) Just one thing, show only excerpts of each post on the home pages, instead of the full post. I like this because it lets me browse through more posts quickly, finding things I like.

    1. Thank you for your kind words and feedback! I have mixed feelings about the use of excepts honestly. Sometimes I like it in blogs because it does help me browse more posts, but at the same time I find that it gives too little information about each post! I will definitely consider it though :)

  10. (WPNFF brought me here) I agree with others that your blog gives nice clean impression. Your cuticles look very healthy, your photos are nice quality and the name is clever! Unlike Precious Pearl, I like full posts on home page, btw.
The only thing I would change is commenting system (disqus maybe?), blogger's sucks.

    1. Thank you Margee! Healthy cuticles is a very appreciated compliment ;)
I kind of like full posts too I think :). I haven't really looked into the commenting systems and what options there are but will do so now. Thanks for the tip!
