Nail art inspired by India

Today's nail art is inspired by India in celebration of the country's Independence Day which is today, August 15th.
I knew since I got MoYou Explorer plate 21 that I wanted to create something for today, in particular since this was one of the plates S bought for me and he is Indian ^-^. I've been pondering ways to make it special for a while and finally the choice fell on combining double stamping with a stamping decal. I really like the result!

The base is Zoya Arizona over which I've stamped with the paisley print on Bundle Monster BM-315 using Zoya Lo to get a discreet background. Over this I used two different design of maang tikka (I think that's what the richly ornamented head/forhead jewellery is called!) as well as an image of Ganesh that I created a stamping decal of.

By the way, anyone read Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie? Independence Day plays a huge role in the plot and the book is so well written and has a great story. I recommend it!

Polishes used: Zoya Arizona, Zoya Lo, Barry M Gold Foil, KIKO 374 and Sephora by OPI Henna-Thing is Possible (for the decal)

    1. I have read Midnight's Children, The Satanic Verses and Shalimar the Clown. I loved all of them and definitely recommend Rushdie's work. I do find that they require a little more from me though, I need to focus on them while reading, not ideal for my work commute and such where there's lots of noise and commotion and I have to think about when my stop is coming up ;).
I'm glad you like the manicure!!
