Half moon abstract flower nail art

My third manicure for the Nail Challenge Collaborative this month is inspired by some nondescript unidentifiable flower that may or may not look more like jellyfish.
I used acrylic paint and added bits and pieces of colour to my nails. I then used hole reinforcements to add a half moon fairly high up on each nail. The polish I picked was KIKO 300, which I perceived as fairly green but that photographed blue. I've tried to alter then tone to my images but can't guarantee this is spot on. The design did not look very good glossy but with matte top coat it really came alive.

When I had completed this manicure I was actually reminded of a painting I drew in second grade. We were interpreting Claude Monet and I did some water colour lilies (eight year old style). My dad ended up really liking that painting and to this day it sits in my parents bedroom. The manicure got a somewhat shorter life because I got tip wear on the third day.

Polishes used: KIKO 300 and Barry M Matte Top Coat

  1. Before I read the text I thought that those flowers looks a bit like Monet flowers! I love the matte finish on that polish and the whole manicure is very pretty.

    1. Really?! That's so funny! I loved this matte too, surprisingly it didn't even look okay with shiny topcoat...
