HPB Presents Thermal Halloween Nails

Last post of October calls for some Halloween inspired nails!
Yesterday I even attended a Halloween party so there was a good reason to do thematic nails! I didn't have too much time though since I was gonna try my hands on a half skull makeup design too and I had no idea how long it would take to recreate this 8 minute video. It took about an hour and of course didn't turn out exactly as nice but still looked good and impressed a lot of fellow party goers!

Needless to say my nails didn't get as much attention. I used a variety of Halloween plates and stamped various patterns on my nails before covering all nails with two coats of Bow Polish Thermal Top Coat. In retrospect I prefer the spider nail art I did before with this Bow polish since today's design is a little too busy and it's hard to see what it is. Also my nails are shorter so the nice fading effect isn't as apparent. The stamping plates I used are:
  • hehe036 for the grass and tree stumps on my pinkie and middle finger
  • BM-213 and Handy H2 for the bats
  • BM-305 and BM-224 for the houses
Hobby Polish Blogger's (HPB) monthly linkup has the theme Halloween so I'm participating in that today, check out the linkup at the end of the post! It's also Nail Art Sunday but our hostess Lacky Corner is taking a sick-day so no linkup from her today. Hope you feel better soon Helena!

Polishes used: Bow Polish Thermo Top Coat and Mundo de Unas Black

I was planning to reproduce it but I broke a couple of nails in the week before halloween and ended up doing... nothing :( But I keep your great idea for next year !
I wish we could have seen your make up too :)

    1. Sometimes when the nails are too short, the inspiration to paint them is also lacking... I tend to cut my nails when I dont wear polish and only when I apply it do I realize exactly how short they are :S
I like to keep this blog nails only ;)
