70s wallpaper nail art with Emily de Molly EDM06

I mentioned in my first wallpaper design for the Nail Challenge Collaborative that I've never really had wallpapers at home. Perhaps the reason my parents favour practical white walls is that their past held wallpaper designs similar to these nails ^-^.
I really wanted to create something that was more fun than pretty for this theme. I was inspired by the idea of the 1970's rather than any specific design. My base colour is Manhattan Green & Bronx which is an interesting moss green colour with small glitter in red and gold. The stamping is done with Emily de Molly plate EDM06. Interestingly a coworker complimented me on these nails! I'm always surprised when that happens when I'm wearing something as nontraditional as these.

Previously I mentioned struggling with picking up the designs of my EDM-plates. I can now report that using my Handy stamping polish really helped. I think Handy are very similar to Mundo de Unas (even though I don't have of those) and both brands are thick, slow drying polishes.

Now to check out Vacker & Underbar for Green Wednesday manicures. More wallpaper designs are below in the InLinkz.

Polishes used: Manhattan Green & Bronx and Handy Yellow

Mer tapeter hittar du nedan i InLinkz.

  7. I just tried to use this exact stamp and had a really hard time getting all the tiny lines! So thanks for the advice about using super thick polish. I'll try that next.

    1. I've always struggled with my EDM-plates. At the same time I really love them because of their unique designs. Another tip is to not use a soft stamper but more of a traditional Konad-style one. That has helped for me in the past.
