I've had a soft spot for the Chinese New Year since I spent a semester in Singapore during my university years. There it was the biggest festivity of the year whereas in Sweden you see nothing of it. This year I know that it takes place today, on February 5th, and I made some festive nail art to go with it.
The design is stamped and comes from a MoYou plate, Suki 17, that really has more Japanese than Chinese patterns but as far as I understand it, there are plenty of cranes in Chinese mythology so I figured it could still fit quite well.
Otherwise the Chinese New Year is centered on the 12 animals of the Zodiak and there are no birds there, unless you count a rooster. The coming year is the year of the pig and I really didn't have any suitable stamping patterns with it!
Polishes used: Essie Head Mistress, Essie Good as Gold, MoYou London Black Knight, Catrice Wild White Ways and Born Pretty Gold stamping polish (7)
