31 Day Challenge 2016: Day 20, Water Marble

The water marble hurdle is here! Kind of feels like it at least, even if I sort of like the technique...
I honestly did not have the patience to try and do the world's greatest marble last night. Instead I tried to just get a new blue polish to form nice circles together with a clear polish from Wet n Wild. That way I could do the marble on top of my already existing manicure of Starry Starry Night (new version of course) and save myself from having to do a base colour first. The polishes marbled okay, I got like 3-4 rings of each before it got stuck and the rings wouldn't spread anymore. Then I just did the simplest design possible and called it done. Feels great to have it taken care off honestly and the result is quite nice. I forgot how much I like blue!

Now for the remaining ten days of "inspired by" prompts. In the same time period I also have to complete a full page about the German national day, auf Deutsch! Right now I know only what date it is so will be interesting to see how I can fill an entire page about it, let alone write a page in German...

Polishes used: Essie Starry Starry Night and OPI My Pal Joey. I also used an old clear polish from Wet n Wild, not pictured since the bottle looks horrible!

    1. Thank you! It is really a challenging technique! I don't understand how some people nail it every time with all kinds of polishes!

  3. Supersnyggt!

    1. Thank you! Yeah, the struggle is real :P
I ended up finishing my full page in like 10-15 hours. Luckily there were lots of sites and resources available so I didn't have to hunt for material much, just focus on constructing understandable sentences. The feedback I got after handing it in was that my grammar needs some work but that's kind of why I'm taking the course :P

  6. haha ! I think German is a very hard language to learn, I learned it for 5 years in school and I can't speak a word ... But are you back at school full time or do you do this course in addition to your job ?

    1. A very late response here, but I study it in my spare time, I still work full time. As Swedish, my first language, is in the same general family as German I find it a lot easier than French, which I did for 6 years in school. The grammar is complicated but I find that as a grown-up student I don't care so much if I make mistakes.

    1. Thank you! What a sweet thing to say! I do feel proud, when I take the time to think about it. When I'm in the middle of an assignment I mainly just mope because I can't spend my weekend on the couch watching Netflix ;)
