Round Up Post - 7 Valentine's Day Nail Art Looks

This post is way late but I only recently realised the advantages of doing posts which sum up challenges and themes. By showing all nail art related to a certain theme and also linking to the original posts I can provide much more nail art inspiration in one go. It's great when you're trying to find a look you like related to a certain concept.

For Day 1 I did a negative space manicure using Essence Me and My Lover.

Day 2 was all about Pahlish Ghost of Christmas Present. I should definitely wear this polish again, like it so much when looking at the pictures! 

The most fun day of Valentine Polish Week for me was Day 3 which featured fimo hearts. 

Day 4 was a remake of the first look of the week. Can't decide which look I prefer.

Finally my Nail Art Sunday look which I think was the most popular look of the week. Most glittery for sure!

Detta inlägg är alldeles för sent men jag har rätt nyligen insett fördelarna med att lägga upp samlingsinlägg efter att ha genomfört en utmaning eller ett tema. Genom att visa upp alla bilder i ett inlägg och även länka till ursprungsinlägget kan jag ge mycket mer inspiration på en och samma gång. Valentine Polish Week, Ultimate Red

For the final installment of Valentine Polish Week I wanted to go extra festive. These are potentially the most glittery nails I have ever worn. As always with glitter the photos can't do them justice, instead it will focus on the details and the glitter placement. You have to imagine the sparkliness.

This is a number of coats of Essie Skirting the Issue over which I've placed heart shaped glitter in rows. Roughly 200 pieces of glitter went into this manicure. Still it wasn't too time consuming, the only difficult part was cutting the glitters that were too big for their intended piece of the nail.

I'm really happy that the theme for Nail Art Sunday is red. These couldn't be more appropriate.

As for Valentine's Day, I can't say we did any celebrations, a good dinner and an early bedtime was on our agenda on Friday. This goes pretty well with what I've seen in the blogs that have chosen to take part in Valentine Polish Week as well as in the comments to my posts. Most people seem to like the nail art opportunities with Valentine's Day but few people like the day in itself. Thank you all who have participated over the week, I love seeing all the creative nail art.

Detta är mitt sista bidrag till Valentine Polish Week och jag ville ha dem extra spektakulära. Detta är nog de mest glittriga naglar jag någonsin burit. Som vanligt med glitter är det svårt att fånga exakt hur glittrigt det är. Istället fokuserar mina bilder mer på detaljerna och på mönstret av glitter. Du får föreställa dig hur det glittrar.

Detta är ett antal lager av Essie Skirting the Issue över vilket jag lagt ut hjärtformat glitter i rader. Ungefär 200 glitter använde jag men det var faktiskt inte särskilt tidsödande. Det enda som tog tid var att klippa till bitar av det glitter som inte fick plats i sin helhet.

Jag är jätteglad att Nail Art Sunday har rött tema idag, dessa kunde inte vara lämpligare.

När det kommer till Alla hjärtans dag så blev det inte mycket till firande för mig. En bra middag följt av en tidig sänggång vad precis vad jag längtade efter. Detta verkar stämma rätt bra med vad jag sätt i de bloggar som valt att vara med i Valentine Polish Week samt i kommentarerna till mina inlägg. De flesta gillar nail art möjligheterna med Alla hjärtans dag mer än vad de gillar dagen i sig. Tack alla ni som varit med i vecka, har varit så kul att se alla era manikyrer!

Valentine Polish Week, Fuzzy Saturday

I'm really using Valentine Polish Week as an excuse to try new things. Today's nail art is definitely taking advantage of this. I can't decide if the result is still okay or if it's just too off. Can one ever really pull off the flocking powder with shapes like this?

I hope Gelic' and I won't be alone showing Valentine's nails now that we're officially past the 14th! Join in if you can. I promise to show something nicer tomorrow ;)

Jag använder verkligen Valentine Polish Week som en ursäkt för att testa nya saker. Dagens nail art är ett resultat av detta. Jag kan inte bestämma mig för om jag tycker resultatet är okej eller om det bara är för konstigt. Går det ens att göra lyckade manikyrer med flockingpulver?

Valentine Polish Week, Valentine Friday

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm so glad it's finally Friday, Valentine's or not, it's been a hectic week and I can't wait to finally get some time away from the office.

My 5th Valentine's look features another Pahlish shade. I layered this one over OPI Honk if you love OPI which in retrospect probably wasn't necessary and only served to darken  the shade a little. Glad Alla hjärtans dag! Äntligen är det fredag, stor lättnad oavsett Valentin eller inte. Det har varit en körig vecka och jag ser verkligen fram emot att få gå hem från jobbet i eftermiddag.

Min 5e alla hjärtans manikyr innehåller ytterligare ett Pahlish lack. Jag la detta över OPI Honk if you love OPI vilket i efterhand nog var synd, den tappade nog lite djup och färg på det. Valentine Polish Week, Alternative Sand

Remember the textured hearts from this Monday? I liked that look so much that I ended up changing it up a bit instead of redoing my nails completely, twice. This is the third nail look, the second will be shown sometime in the future.

Valentine Polish Week, Whimsical hearts

Midweek means Green Wednesday, and today I made it extra whimsical! This might be my favourite Valentine manicure I'll show this week. It is just so fun and bright. I've never worn fimos before because I find that they are a little difficult to incorporate in a design. Now I loved wearing this. I was inspired by this look on Sonailicious.com.
